This 3-day safari offers an unforgettable luxury adventure through Tanzania’s most iconic parks. It takes you to the vast Serengeti National Park, where you’ll enjoy thrilling game drives and witness incredible wildlife across endless plains. It continues in the Serengeti with more chances to spot the Big Five and possibly the Great Migration, before heading to the Ngorongoro area. On the last day you will get to explore Ngorongoro Crater, home of big 5 before returning to Arusha.

Embark on a memorable 3-day safari adventure with Kenrobs Africa to two of Tanzania’s most iconic wildlife destinations: the vast Serengeti National Park and the majestic Ngorongoro Crater. Staying in the renowned Serena Collection lodges, you will enjoy exceptional comfort, expert guiding and full board service as you explore African wilderness in style.
On Day 1 you travel from Arusha into the Serengeti wilderness, arriving at the Serena lodge for dinner and overnight. Day 2 is dedicated to game drives across the Serengeti plains and in the afternoon a scenic transfer into the highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you overnight at the Ngorongoro Serena lodge. On Day 3 you will descend into the crater itself for a morning game drive among one of the highest concentrations of wildlife on Earth, enjoy a picnic lunch, then return to Arusha by late afternoon.
This safari is perfect for nature lovers, first-time safari guests, honeymooners and small groups seeking a premium experience in a short timeframe. Please note that because of the tight schedule it is fast-paced. For more relaxed itineraries consider adding extra days.

Day 01 :

Arusha to Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park offers a thrilling glimpse into one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations. Known for its vast open plains and incredible concentrations of wildlife, especially during the Great Migration, Serengeti provides unforgettable game viewing opportunities. During the day, visitors can expect to see a variety of animals including lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeest. The trip includes scenic drives across the savannah, guided by expert safari guides, with picnic lunch in the bush. Though short, a Serengeti day trip delivers an authentic taste of Tanzania's natural wonders.

Day 02 :

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Highlands

A Serengeti to Ngorongoro Highlands safari offers an unforgettable journey through two of Tanzania's most iconic landscapes. Starting in the Serengeti, you'll witness vast savannahs teeming with wildlife, including lions, elephants, and the Great Migration (seasonal). From there, you transition to the cooler, greener Ngorongoro Highlands, where you can explore scenic volcanic terrain, meet the Maasai community, and enjoy breathtaking views over the crater. This route combines classic game drives with cultural and scenic experiences for a well-rounded safari adventure.

Day 03 :

Ngorongoro crater

Your day will begin with an early morning departure from the campsites and you will descend 600 meters into the crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the world’s largest inactive, intact volcanic caldera.

Inside the crater, you’ll enjoy a full-day game drive where you may spot a wide range of wildlife including elephants, lions, buffalo, zebras, hippos, and possibly black rhinos. The crater also hosts hundreds of bird species, such as flamingos and crowned cranes.

You will stop for a picnic lunch at a scenic spot inside the crater, usually near the Hippo Pool. After lunch, continue your game viewing before ascending the crater rim in the afternoon.

The trip ends with a drive back to Arusha arriving in the early evening.

Is this safari suitable for children/families?

Yes — children are welcome, though check age restrictions at the lodges (often children under 6 may not be allowed or require extra charge). Early morning starts and vehicle drives may be tiring for very young children.

Do I need to be very fit?

No special fitness is required for this itinerary. Game drives are in a 4×4 vehicle; lodge stays are comfortable. However some walking at lodges or picnic spots may be required.

What happens if I only have 2 days?

A 2-day itinerary is possible but very rushed — we recommend the full 3 days to cover both Serengeti and Ngorongoro meaningfully.

What wildlife can we expect to see?

Expect a wide variety of wildlife including lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, cheetah and many bird species. In Ngorongoro you may spot hippos, rhinos (rare) and large herbivore populations.

Is internal flight included/necessary?

This itinerary is designed by road (vehicle) transfer. Some packages include flight in/out of Serengeti which shortens driving time but increases price. For this offer we assume road transfer; if you prefer fly-in we can quote separately.

What happens with single/supplement travellers?

Single travellers are welcome; single room supplement applies. Price based on sharing two adults; request a quote for single occupancy or larger group.

How far in advance do I need to book?

We recommend booking at least 4–6 months ahead, especially for premium lodges (Serena Collection) and high season. Availability fills quickly.

What should I pack/climate?

Daytime in Serengeti/Ngorongoro is warm (20-30 °C) but mornings/evenings can be cool. Bring light jacket, long-sleeved shirt for dawn drives, sunscreen, hat, insect repellent, comfortable walking shoes, camera with extra batteries/SD card.
