6-Day Mount Kilimanjaro Climb via Marangu Route

6 Days

Marangu route which is also known as the Coca-Cola route. It approaches Kilimanjaro from the southeast. Many favor the Marangu route because it is considered to be the easiest route on the mountain.

Overview

The 6-Day Marangu Route on Mount Kilimanjaro is the classic “hut-to-hut” climb — often nicknamed the “Coca-Cola Route.” Because climbers sleep in dormitory-style huts instead of tents, it’s considered the most comfortable and accessible way to summit Africa’s highest peak.

Over six days, trekkers traverse multiple habitat zones — from lush rainforest through moorlands and alpine desert — culminating in reaching the summit, Uhuru Peak (5,895 m). The extra acclimatization day at the mid-mountain hut improves chances of reaching the summit safely and reduces altitude-related risks.

This trek is ideal for travelers who:

  • Want a full Kilimanjaro climb without tent-camping
  • Prefer a more gradual pace with better acclimatization than shorter itineraries
  • Are first-time climbers or moderately experienced trekkers

Kenrobs Africa provides professional guides, porters, meals, hut accommodation, and all necessary logistics to deliver a safe and memorable climbing experience.
