Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park is a hidden gem of northern Tanzania’s safari circuit, celebrated for its ancient baobab trees, seasonal swamps, and vast herds of elephants. The Tarangire River winds through the park, attracting a diverse range of wildlife, especially during the dry season when water is scarce elsewhere. Lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, wildebeests, and over 400 bird species thrive here.
The park’s charm lies in its raw beauty and peaceful atmosphere — it’s less crowded than Serengeti or Ngorongoro, making for an intimate safari experience. During sunset, the silhouettes of baobabs against golden skies create a photographer’s dream.
